Some of My Favorite Podcasts For Daily Inspiration

There is rarely a day that goes by that I am not listening to a podcast episode or two. I am a HUGE fan of podcasts.
(One of them was even life-changing for me...more on that in a future post)

Whether I am doing dishes, cooking, laundry, cleaning, or out on our daily walk, there is a good chance that I have a podcast playing in one ear. I’m a big proponent of lifelong learning and the pursuit of knowledge. I love educating myself (must be the 5-wing in me) and am naturally curious to find out more about the world around me. Podcasts are such a great way to gain more knowledge and understanding. And most of them are free to listen to, so you can’t go wrong!

I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you, in case you want to take a listen as well. In no particular order:

  1. ‘All It Takes Is a Goal’ - Jon Acuff is one of my favorite authors, and his writing and storytelling is so relatable. He breaks down goal-setting and achieving into bite-size pieces that are manageable and uncomplicated. He goes beyond that with interviewing guests who are authors, speakers, etc with advice on how to tackle big problems with simple solutions. (Check it out here)

  2. ‘Instrumental’ - JJ Heller is a music artist I have admired for years. Her beautiful voice coupled with her relatability as a mom in how she shares with the world her journey, has been such an encouragement in my life. In this podcast, she and her husband interview fellow musicians and key influencers in their lives in a unique way. The guest’s story is told backwards - from where they are currently to how they first got started. I am always intrigued by this, and I’ve found many of the stories to be rather fascinating. 3. ‘Human Hope’ - Carlos Whittaker is a bright light in this world, and his voice needs to be amplified. He’s an author, speaker, and “hope-dealer”. He has an incredible ability to navigate tough conversations surrounding polarizing topics, and challenges listeners to listen more intently and start asking the right questions. I recently had the privilege of meeting him in person, and his authenticity and genuine care for others is very apparent. (Check it out here)

  4. ‘On Purpose’ - You may have heard of Jay Shetty online, and he has a podcast too! He interviews some of the world’s leaders in various areas such as personal development, health and fitness, business, and more. He brings wisdom and insight gained from his experience living as a monk in India, and offers such tangible advice on how to live ‘on purpose.’ (Check it out here)

  5. ‘She’ - Jordan Dooley is someone I discovered via another podcast, and she started her own as well. Jordan is a young entrepreneur with so much wisdom to share in the realm of business, home, health, and ambition. She also has a best-selling book that I’ve read, and I always find encouragement in the words she offers. (Check it out here)

  6. ‘The School of Greatness’ - Lewis Howes’ podcast has been available for several years now, but I find that I am continually learning so much with each new episode. His interviews are thought-provoking, challenging, and provide insight from some of the top-of-their-field leaders from around the world. I am like a sponge when I listen to this one, and often feel the need to take notes. (Check it out here)

  7. ‘Mom Struggling Well’ - One of my favorites, this podcast features both interviews and candid conversations between three moms. The idea behind it is to help us find ways to approach challenges with a positive mindset and to ‘struggle well’. Three unique perspectives and backgrounds bring forth real conversations around the journey of motherhood, along with countless laughs. I leave each episode feeling heard, encouraged, and most importantly, not alone. (Check it out here)

  8. ‘The Goal Digger Podcast’ - I first discovered Jenna Kutcher through her photography business, as she’s a friend of a friend of mine. She has gone on to build a large platform for advice on everything from business and marketing to authenticity and motherhood. I’ve learned a lot about building a business from scratch and all the steps along the way. If this sort of thing is up your alley, I recommend checking these episodes out. (Check it out here)

  9. ‘Super Soul’ - It’s essentially a continuation of the Oprah show, but in audio format. Need I say more? (Check it out here)

  10. ‘Dadville’ - Ok, now hear me out. I know the title suggests the show must be geared towards dads, but it’s definitely not just for them. Musicians Jon McLaughlin and Dave Barnes discuss an array of topics such as music, parenthood, etc, along with interviews of some pretty famous musicians and leaders. Each episode broadens my perspective as a parent, and also leaves my sides hurting a bit. Dave is also part-comedian, and I can’t listen without bursting into laughter at several points along each one. (Check it out here)

  11. ‘The Ed Mylett Show’ - Ed Mylett is a prominent name in the personal development space, and his ability to speak right to you and encourage you is remarkable. He has a way of challenging you and yet giving you the confidence to succeed no matter what. I highly recommend this one if you need a good challenge. (Check it out here)

  12. ‘Imagined Life’ - Last but not least, is Imagined Life. I get most excited whenever a new episode is released, because of how well-produced and fascinating each one is. The narrator walks you through the life of a world-famous celebrity, before they were famous, and tells it as if you’re walking in their shoes. However, you don’t find out who the person is until the very end. You will get clues along the way, but some are quite difficult to figure out. It’s always fun to try and guess who it is, and I appreciate this unique story-telling approach. (Check it out here)

There you have it! These are just a few of the podcasts I listen to, but I’m always open to discovering more. Let me know if you have listened to any of these yourself or have more recommendations. Happy listening!
